Dear Wim,

I will be in Addis Abeba in the week of November 23rd for an assignment from Rabobank/IFC on Warehouse Receipt Financing (workshop for local banks).

I would like to take that opportunity to meet (on Friday November 27th) some Agri-ProFocus members located there to exchange views on the cross-cutting issue, if any, of (Access to) Financial Services for Producer Organisations.

I sent a message to Piet. Who else (with a special interest in the subject) could I contact best also ?

Looking forward to your reaction.

Best Regards

Guus Rozendaal

Hi Wim

As promised I am hereby sending the SILC manual developed by CARE/ CRS and used in Zambia (probably also elsewhere). It is a savings and credit methodology aimed at vulnerable communities which are no potential clients for MFIs (yet).

Feel free to use it in relation to the APF Access to Credit discussions.

PS Be careful with downloading/ printing; it is quite a big document

hey wim,

nice work. I have adapted some stuff to include links to the thematic pages. Suggestion: why not include ELA and WUR aas separate pages under the themes. For an outsider it is not clear what the diffenece is between collaboartion on themes and the other two: Both are under APF

Also: jeminah Njuki of ILRI has adapted their gender Ethiopia event to January (see gender ning), note the title!. She will also add it here. The event of Claudia can then be deleted.
