First Call for Proposals - The Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP) Ethiopia
Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP) Ethiopia is a five year, multi-donor investment which provides support for Ethiopian people through the development of Ethiopian civil society organisations. The programme helps civil society organisations to increase their capacity to deliver and facilitate more equitable and effective services for, and to expand their reach to, poor and marginalised women, men and children who are not yet able to benefit from national poverty reduction interventions and who are affected by neglected development challenges.
Currently, CSSP is financed by the people of Ireland, Norway, and the Netherlands, and others such as Canada, United Kingdom and Denmark are coming on board soon. The British Council is selected as a Management Agent, and leads the consortium that includes IDL and INTRAC. The British Council has been tasked with developing and implementing the CSSP during the initial five years of the programme. The British Council is managing CSSP from its Addis Ababa office, located at Comoros Street.
